Flying
If you travel by plane a number of airports are within a reasonable distance of our Villa.
Milan has three international airports: Linate and Malpensa, and Bergamo/Orio al Serio.
There is also the possibility to choose Genua Airport as your port of arrival.
From the many European low budget airlines EasyJet flies to Malpensa, and RyanAir to Bergamo/ Orio al Serio.
Most of the main air carriers (e.g. Alitalia, Lufthansa, KLM/Air France) fly to Malpensa as well as to Linate.
Malpensa and Orio al Serio are within an appr. 1-1.5 hours drive from our villa. From Linate it takes only one hour.
Car rental companies (Avis, Hertz etc.) can be found on all airports.
Car/Sleeper Train
For the first time the Car/Sleeper Train has this summer Alessandria (only an hour drive from the Villa) as one of its destinations. You can download their English language brochure here.
Villa (x) on the hilltop between the valleys
Villa I Due Padroni is situated in the municipality of Montecalvo Versiggia, which consists of more than 50 hamlets, or "frazioni". Our B&B holiday apartment is one of the nine houses in frazione Spagna. Next to Spagna lie the "frazioni" Francia and Casella and Tromba.
Montecalvo is part of the province of Pavia, and more specific of the region Oltrepò Pavese, in short Oltrepò, approximately 70 km south of Milan.
The nearest larger communities are Broni and Stradella, which can be reached directly from motorway A21. From these small cities you can reach us by driving 10 km south into the first hills of the Apennines.
Our bed & breakfast lies on a range of hills at an altitude of 240 m between the valleys of the brooklets Scuropasso and Versiggia. The nearest village, Santa Maria della Versa lies appr. 10 minutes from the villa.
